The goal is to equip you with the knowledge to select and use the right lightweight gear so you can enjoy nature with maximum freedom and minimal baggage.

- Hypothermia, Ice Bath, and Dressing Correctly
- Location: Copenhagen
- What happens to the body when exposed to extreme cold or heat? How do you react, and why? How can you prepare and avoid risks, and what do you do if you still end up in a situation where you become hypothermic or dehydrated? You will learn more about all of this and, under controlled conditions, get the opportunity to feel how your body reacts during a cold ice bath. We will also have a lecture on how to dress correctly for outdoor life, the properties of different materials, and when they are suitable for various purposes.

By now, you will have come further along in your planning, and many questions and thoughts will surface that are beneficial to discuss with other students and leaders.
Meeting #5A: Mon, Mar 23, 2026 | 19:00 – 20:00
- Mental Strength & Tools for Your Adventure
- Location: Digital
- A part of Adventure Academy is not just about managing in nature—it is also about managing yourself. Mental strength is at least as crucial as physical skills when you are completing Hellweek and, not least, when heading out on your own adventure. This evening, we put the spotlight on the mental aspect. We dive into concrete tools you can use to:
Maintain composure in high-pressure situations
Handle fear, fatigue, and uncertainty
Maintain focus when energy is low
Create balance and strength through breathing, visualization, and simple mental exercises
Meeting #6: Sat, Apr 11, 2026 (12:00) – Sun, Apr 12, 2026 (12:00) (Sleeping outdoors)
- Indoor Climbing + Cycling + GPS Navigation + First Aid
- Location: Expected start/finish in Copenhagen.
- We start with indoor climbing, including a brief introduction on how to get started. After that, it's onto the bikes. We will receive a basic introduction to Bikepacking, along with an overview of gear and materials. What should you do if something happens when you are out in nature? Here, you will learn how to prevent injuries, how to build a good first aid kit, and how to handle minor injuries. At the same time, we will discuss GPS navigation using apps like Komoot, AllTrails, etc., as well as the use of Garmin InReach. Note: Entrance fee for climbing is paid individually.
Meeting #7: Mon, Apr 13, 2026 | 17:00 – 20:00
- Social Media, Film, Photography, and Storytelling
- Location: Digital
- Why is it important to document and tell the story of your adventure? Whether your ambition is to become a professional adventurer or you want to develop yourself and your outdoor life, it is a good idea to document what you do and have a strategy for how you share it. We feature interesting lectures on how to build a clear story around your adventure, how to improve your filming and photography to document your preparations and execution, and how to share it across various social media channels.
Meeting #8: Sat, Apr 18, 2026 (12:00) – Sun, Apr 19, 2026 (12:00) (Sleeping outdoors)
- Kayaking and Camp Life
- Location: North Zealand
- We will gain basic knowledge on how to paddle a kayak and how to handle a situation if you fall into the water. We will paddle a short distance and spend the night in the wild. This offers an opportunity to practice the skills you have learned in camp life and navigation, as well as an excellent occasion to exchange experiences and knowledge needed to fine-tune your adventure planning. Note: Kayak rental is paid individually.
Meeting #9: Apr 24 – 26, 2026 – Danish Outdoor Festival (Voluntary participation)
