Frequently asked questions
Put together a simple adventure CV where you tell us about yourself, any previous experiences and what summer adventure you are planning and then send it in to us. Approximately 20 people will be offered a place in the training.
Yes, it costs 9,895 sek. Paid upon admission.
The entire training (see course schedule). All admitted students will receive selected products from our partners. Materials and gadgets that are distributed during the course cannot be claimed, exchanged or sold, they are distributed on the respective occasion, only then and are not kept in stock by the AA management. Any entrance fees, transport costs and rental fees may be added for students, primarily linked to the examination weekend. In the training, admitted students will also receive products and lectures from, for example: Outnorth, Roswi and Granitbiten (Note! All products are preliminary and may change before and during the training. Årets Äventyrare AB has no obligation to compensate for any loss from partners or products to admitted students).
We have not had any serious incidents over the years, of course it happens that students (and teachers) get chafing and the occasional bump. However, we recommend that you review your accident insurance in connection with participation in the course. Participation is at your own risk.
Yes, during the training you will work in parallel with planning your own adventure to be carried out during the summer. This adventure will then be presented as part of the final examination. It must be at least 2 weeks long. The adventure is planned during winter and spring (during certain course sessions and outside the training).
As the training consists of approximately 8-10 course sessions, it is of utmost importance to be able to participate at every session. If, against all odds, you miss an event, you cannot make up for the missed time. Students who choose to end the training early are not entitled to a refund of the course fee. Upon presentation of a medical certificate, partial refunds can be made. However, not after more than 4 training sessions have been completed. AA believes that it is very important that the selected and accepted participants can attend the specified training sessions (90% attendance is required to be approved for the training, meaning you can miss one session, but not the examination weekend).
During the final stage of the training (May/June), before the students start their own summer adventures, the so-called Hellweek is carried out. The purpose of it is for the students and the group to be “tested” and use the parts of the course, and to see where the personal limits are. This takes place over a long weekend, in a challenging environment and with little information to increase the uncertainty of the participants. Travel and food are paid for by the student.
